Using Invoice & Quote Tools

Terms and Conditions

The conditions for using our document tools, your rights in your content, and your responsibilities when preparing and sharing invoices.

Last updated:

1. Using the service

These terms describe the conditions for using Invoice & Quote Tools at invoicesquotetools.com. “We” refers to the site operator, whose legal identity and contact details require confirmation as noted above. By using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, stop using the service. If you act for a business or another person, you must have authority to do so.

The site currently provides a free invoice editor, templates, browser previews, PDF downloads, and educational resources without requiring an account. Features marked upcoming are not a commitment to provide them by a particular date. The service does not currently provide payment processing, invoice delivery to clients, account registration, or cloud invoice storage.

2. Your content and ownership

You retain ownership of the invoice information, logos, and other material you provide, subject to any rights held by others. We do not claim ownership of your client details or the business content in your generated invoices. You may use and share generated PDFs for your lawful personal or business purposes.

You are responsible for having permission to use uploaded logos and other content and to process personal information about your clients. You authorize only the processing needed to display, save locally, and generate your documents through the tool. Sending feedback separately authorizes us to store, review, and use it to respond and improve the service as explained in the Privacy Policy.

The site’s software, branding, template designs, and editorial material remain subject to their respective intellectual-property rights and any applicable third-party licenses. Use of a template does not transfer ownership of the site or its software.

3. Your responsibility for invoice accuracy

You are responsible for checking every invoice before using or sending it. Review party details, invoice numbering, dates, currencies, line items, prices, rounding, discounts, tax rates, totals, custom fields, and payment instructions. Review the actual downloaded PDF as well as the browser preview, including page breaks and any omitted information.

You determine which legal, tax, accounting, recordkeeping, and invoicing requirements apply to your situation. Templates and calculations do not establish compliance with any jurisdiction’s requirements. A generated PDF is not proof of payment, acceptance by a client, a legally compliant electronic-invoicing submission, or a guarantee that a debt is enforceable.

You remain responsible for keeping appropriate records and backups and for resolving payment or commercial disputes with your clients.

4. Browser storage and downloads

The editor saves drafts in the current browser profile using localStorage and may retain additional recovery copies. It does not synchronize invoices across devices or provide a managed archive. Storage may be blocked, exhausted, cleared, overwritten, or lost. Private browsing and changes from another tab can affect persistence.

Keep your own copies of important documents. Resetting an invoice does not necessarily erase recovery copies, and clearing browser data does not remove downloaded PDFs or JSON backups. Follow the browser data deletion instructions to remove local drafts. Protect shared devices and any downloaded files containing personal or financial information.

5. Acceptable use

Use the service lawfully and respect other people’s rights. Do not create fraudulent or misleading invoices, impersonate another party, use content without permission, distribute malicious material, attempt unauthorized access, or interfere with the site’s operation. Do not abuse feedback submissions or bypass submission limits and other safeguards.

We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to address misuse, legal obligations, or service security. Nothing here prevents lawful uses or rights that applicable law protects.

6. Information and professional advice

The tools, templates, examples, and articles provide general assistance with preparing documents. They are not legal, tax, accounting, financial, or other professional advice. Using them does not create a professional advisory relationship.

Rules differ by jurisdiction and can change. Seek advice from a qualified professional when your circumstances require it. External resources are provided for convenience; we do not control their content, availability, or practices.

7. Availability, warranties, and liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, fitness for a particular purpose, or compliance of your documents with specific requirements. Features may change, be interrupted, or be discontinued. We do not promise recovery of lost browser drafts or acceptance of invoices by clients or authorities.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the service, including lost profits, lost business opportunities, lost data, or disputes arising from documents you create. You should verify outputs and maintain backups appropriate to your work.

These terms do not exclude or limit liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including applicable mandatory consumer rights. They do not remove remedies that the law gives you.

8. Privacy and feedback

The Privacy Policy explains local storage, analytics, optional feedback, and service providers. Invoice generation does not require feedback. Do not put client invoice details, payment credentials, or other sensitive information in feedback messages.

Feedback helps improve the service, but submitting a suggestion does not create an obligation to implement it or provide a response within a particular time.

9. Changes, applicable law, and contact

Changes to these terms will appear on this page with an updated revision date. Where required, we will provide additional notice. Review the terms when returning to the service; changes do not remove rights that applicable law protects.

Owner confirmation required: identify the operator’s legal name, location, and monitored contact address, and obtain review of the applicable law, dispute process, and liability wording before publication. No particular governing jurisdiction or exclusive court is selected in this draft. Applicable mandatory law continues to apply.

The site’s Feedback button is an interim contact route for questions about the tools or these terms. A dedicated contact channel must be confirmed before this draft is finalized.
